Overview
Bruno Simon is a legendary 3D developer who has been working in the industry for over 20 years. He is well known for his work on the popular 3D engine Three.js. We were excited to see him host a contest for 3D Creative Development, and we decided to enter.
While this technology is typically used for marketing and advertising, we decided to use it for a more creative purpose. We wanted to create a 3D experience that would be engaging and interactive for the user.
The result was a custom 3D experience that features a 3D model of our dog, Lily, who travels across a winter wonderland to help Santa find his lost Christmas Cookies.
The game soared into the top 3 within 48 hours, likely because it was an exciting, relatable experience that the user could connect with.
After securing the win, we open-sourced the code to the public, allowing anyone to create their own 3D experiences using the same framework.
